How to knit the Yarrow stitch
Slip 5 sts purlwise to RH needle dropping extra loops, slip these 5 sts back to LH needle. Slip 3 sts together knitwise to RH needle, slip these 3 sts back to LH needle. Then (k1, yo, k1, yo, k1) into all 5 sts together through the back loop.

PATTERN
Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches, plus 1.
Row 1 (RS): Knit
Row 2: P1, *purl 5 wrapping yarn twice around needle for each stitch, p1, repeat from *.
Row 3: K1, *Yarrow stitch, k1, repeat from *.
Row 4: P1, *k5, p1, repeat from *.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 6: P4, *purl 5 wrapping yarn twice around needle for each stitch, p1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, p3.
Row 7: K4, * Yarrow stitch, k1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Row 8: P4, *k5, p1, repeat from *, to last 9 sts, k5, p4.
Repeat rows 1-8.
