Slip Stitch Knitting 24: Royal Quilting

How to knit the K1 uls.
Take the right-hand needle under the slipped threads, then pick up the next st on the left-hand needle and knit this st and the slipped threads together.

PATTERN
Cast on a multiple of 6 stitches, plus 3.
Row 1 (RS): Color A, knit.
Row 2: Color A, p2, *sl5 wyib, p1, repeat from * to last st, p1.
Row 3: Color B, knit.
Row 4: Color B, purl.
Row 5: Color A, k1, sl3 wyib, *k1 uls, sl5 wyib, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k1 uls, sl3 wyib, k1.
Row 6: Color A, p1, sl3 wyib, *p1, sl5 wyib, repeat from * to last 5 sts, p1, sl3 wyib, p1.
Row 7: Color B, knit.

Row 8: Color B, purl.

Row 9: Color A, k1, *k1 uls, sl5 wyib, repeat from * to last 2 sts, k1 uls, k1.
Row 10: Color A, p2, *sl5 wyib, p1, repeat from * to last st, p1.
Repeat rows 3-10.
