4/4 RC: Slip 4 sts to cable needle and hold in back, K4, then K4 from cable needle.
4/4 LC: Slip 4 sts to cable needle and hold in front, K4, then K4 from cable needle.

PATTERN
Cast on a multiple of 16 stitches, plus 2.
Rows 1, 3, 7, and 9 (RS): Knit.
Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12: Purl.
Row 5: K5, *4/4 RC, repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5.
Row 11: K1, *4/4 LC, repeat from * to last st, k1.
Repeat rows 1-12.
