3/3 LC: Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in front, knit 3, then knit 3 from cable needle
3/3 RC: Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in back, knit 3, then knit 3 from cable needle

PATTERN
Cast on a multiple of 12 stitches, plus 2.
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: Purl.
Row 3: K1, *3/3 LC, k6, repeat from * to last st, k1.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 7: K1, *k6, 3/3 RC, repeat from * to last st, k1.
Repeat rows 1-8.
