Cast on an even number of stitches.
Row 1 (RS): *SSK, dropping only the first stitch off your needle, the second stitch should remain on left needle; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 2: *P2tog, dropping only the first stitch off your needle; rep from * to last st, p1.
Repeat rows 1 and 2.
